About Me

Trent Owens is a filmmaker based out of Austin, Texas who specializes in Commercial Film and Music Videos. Since beginning his freelance filmmaking journey in 2011, he's been hired on by VH1, RedBull, Jive Records, DocuCourse and many more. As well as filming, editing and directing over 300 music videos along with editing SXSW award nominated short films. As someone who spent most of his career freelancing, he understands the struggles of finding the right jobs, learning new editing software, managing finances, selecting the best gear and so much more. Trent has became an expert at balancing the business and creative sides of independent filmmaking.
