THE HATE U GIVE then went on to rock the New York Times bestseller list, claiming the number one spot! But that's not all. THE HATE U GIVE received so much love and recognition. It won the ALA's William C. Morris Debut Award, the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award (USA), the Waterstones Children's Book Prize (UK), and the Deutscher Jugendliterapreis (Germany). And hold on tight, because it was also adapted into a seriously awesome film by Fox 2000. George Tillman, Jr. directed it, and the talented Amandla Stenberg starred in it.
